Violet Trio- 16”x12” Oil on Linen Panel
This is a piece that was created as a demonstration in my local art club, (although some additional refinement was added back at the studio afterwards). The topic of the demo was centered around how to obtain color harmony in your work. In the case, I utilized ultramarine blue pigment in the water, irises and foliage to help tie all the primary features together. Violet irises are turning into a common subject for my work, probably because they are so graceful and peaceful. On that note, I hope that all viewers of this work sense that peace with each and every gaze.
