Verdant Lady- 36”x24” Oil on Canvas Board
Pale green is my wife’s favorite color so I really get inspired to paint pieces with that overall hue on occasion. This piece is also greatly inspired by a master study that is currently hanging in our dining room, Toulmouche’s “The Love Letter”, which also showcases an elegant dress. The title “verdant lady” is intended to refer to innocence; not to the cocktail I discovered while googling for similar titles!
