Just like the iconic painting of Whistler’s Mother, this piece has a fairly simplistic composition of a lady in profile, which provides an overall sense of peace and an opportunity for contemplation. Here, the lady is in no rush to move on with the demands of the day, and I hope the viewer takes the same opportunity to slow down and “smell the flowers” life has to offer.
