Path of Lilies- 20x16” Oil on Linen Board
Water lilies have been a source of artistic inspiration of late. Of course, we all seem to be drawn to water but the extra splashes of color that the lilies provide really make a painting pop. In this piece, the primary focus is the lilies at the bottom, especially those in the sunlight. Then the composition makes the traditional zig-zag up the canvas to help drive the viewer's eye through the piece, landing on the orange’ish flower bush toward the top. I hope this piece gives you a real sense of peace as we head into the new year.
