Homegrown Elegance- 20x16 Oil on Linen Board
When I do studies of floral masterpieces, I tend to gravitate to Henri Fantin-Latour’s work. He maintains a realistic style but his brushstrokes never let you forget that it’s a painting. In this piece, I’m going for a relaxed, informal scene that would be a natural fit in a dining room or bedroom. These flowers could easily be some that were just picked from the yard this morning so my hope is that this piece brings that vibe to the room.
